Carlos is an intellectual and industrial property lawyer and works as a professor at the Bolivian Catholic University of La Paz, lecturing in Intellectual Property, General Theory of Law and Contracts, among other subjects. He has experience in processing trademarks, copyrights and patents in Bolivia. Carlos was a Legal Advisor on Intellectual Property (WIPO and WTO) and collaborated with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) as  Legal Quality Control.

As University Professor, Carlos has published several papers, many of them related to IP. Among them:

• “Analysis of Legislative Means for protection of Traditional Medical Knowledge in Bolivia”, Torino, Italy (February 2014).

Carlos is member of the Ministry of Justice in Bolivia (2011), member of the Bar Association in La Paz (2011) and of the Nexa Center for internet & Society (2014).
